Systems engineering is the common language of academia and leaders in China. For thirty years, it has gained positive support and great promotion from both academia represented by academician Qian Xuesen and leaders from of all levels from the centre to local regions. Systems engineering co-exists and co-prospers with the reform and opening in China. The Chinese school of systems engineering has already come into being, which is the outstanding contribution made by a number of scholars represented by Academician Dr. Qian Xuesen, so the Chinese school of systems engineering has been refcred to as Dr. Qian＇s School. The paper sums up its nine characteristics and puts forward seven suggestions.
