The issues of Engineering Management Informatization（EMI） can be classified into four areas based on the theory of life cycle management including operations management,partner collaboration,public services and integrated innovation. The knowledge framework of EMI is clarified,and the difference between EMI and business management informatization is discussed.Finally,the paper predicate the future research trends of the EMI,as the study area will extend from single phase of the project to the entire life cycle of the project,from single operation platform to multi platforms,from specific technology platform to alignment of the common technology platform with the business process,and Chinese characteristic engineering management research under the framework of the Chinese School of Modern Management Science.
