An SEIVR epidemic model with acute and chronic stages was discussed. Firstly, the reproductive nUm- ber Ro was given and it was proved that the disease-free equilibrium pO is globally stable if Ro 〈 1 ,otherwise,P0 is un- stable. Secondly, by using LaSalle invariable principle, it was proved that the unique endemic equilibrium P ＊ is glob- ally stable if R0 〉 1.
