According to the fact that infection foci was produced after Cryptosporidium invasion into human ileocecal adenocarcinoma cell (HCT-8), the external cell culture technology and immunofluorescence assay were used to set up the detection method for viable Cryptosporidium. The method could also be used to quantify the viable Cryptosporidium in the sample based on the most probable number statistical principle.
