Objective： To compare the results of Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process （AHP） in evaluation of determining the index of social welfare, and improve the final weight by using the method of mean square error. Methods： Rank correlation coefficient method, Kendall coefficient and estimation of weight accuracy calculation. Results： The results of the two methods of the determined weight have consistency, and mean square error could be helpful for composite application of the two methods under the consideration of accuracy. Conclusion： These two methods could be applied in evaluation of social welfare for public medical institutions, and improve the final weight by using the method of mean square error.
