The comparative study on the change of two rural families＇ regional environment, house form, service mode and neighborhood connections in Chuansha Town of Shanghai suburbs shows us the similarities and differences on the change of residential environment pattern between suburbs and outer suburbs of rural areas during different period of development of urbanization.
