The paper reviewed and interpreted State of American＇s Libraries Report 2016,and examined six key issues and trends of the development of 2016 American library. This paper analysed the problems that exist in our library＇s development and proposed some suggestions,such as promoting library act,re-positioning the role of library,improving the librarians＇ role transformation,improving the library service performance measurement system,paying attention to the users education of digital literacy,broaden the development of commons and Makerspaces,and improving community engagement in public libraries.
