远缘杂交能有效地打破种、属间的隔离,获得远缘杂交新种质资源,进一步拓宽栽培品种的遗传基础,提高其生产潜力,培育出特异性强的植物新类型。但是,远缘杂交中经常存在各种障碍,影响这些优异种质资源的利用。为此,对远缘杂交的重要性和应用、远缘杂交障碍方式以及克服杂交障碍的方法、远缘杂种的鉴定方法进行了全面的概述,并在此基础上对今后鼠尾草属植物远缘杂交育种工作进行展望。
The distant hybridization can effectively break interspecific and intergeneric isolation of plants. In order to obtain new germplasm re- sources, further broaden the genetic basis of cultivars, distant hybridization improve the production potential and cultivate new varieties with strong specificity. However, various barriers often exist in plant distant hybridization and severely influence the utilization of these excellent germ- plasm resources. Therefore, this paper presents a detailed review on the significance and application of distant hybridization, types of incongruity barriers, means of overcoming incongruity barriers, and identification methods. On the basis of this, the prospects of Salvia spp. distant hybrid- ization breeding were forecasted.
