Continuous random demand valued of fuzzy number was introduced into newsboy problem,and the fuzzy random profit model was formulated.Fuzzy expectation model corresponding to the fuzzy random profit model was presented.By means of the signed distance defuzzification method of fuzzy number,the signed distance estimation function of the fuzzy expectation profit was deduced.Finally,the concave characteristics of the signed distance estimation function were proved so as to obtain the optimal order quantity.
