Compared with a series of radical social movements in Hong Kong, the ＂ Occupy Central＂ movement has attracted more attention, and created more influences. This is because of the massively use of network and social media, which ignited network public opinions. Network public opinions not only help intensify the movement, but also put the Hong Kong SAR government in the dock. Besides, their influences still remain after the end of the movement. In the post ＂ Occupy Central＂ period, facing the negative effects of network public opinions, the Hong Kong SAR government should speed up the construction of official social media network, establish the operation mechanism for new media, and strengthen the communication and exchange with the mainland government, so as to effectively guide the network public opinions.
