CUTL1 ,also known as CDP,Cut or Cux, is a homeodomain transcriptional regulator known to be involved in development, cell cycle progression and transcriptional regulation of multiple genes. Loss of heterozygosity of CUTL1 were found in myeloid disorders and ovary tumor. The expression levels of CUTL1 in uterine leiomyoma, pancreatic cancer and mammary tumor were elevated. CUTL1 is a transcriptional target of transforming growth factor beta, plays an important role in its mobility-promoting action and may be a key mediator of its promigratory effects.
