Abstract Firstly, this article discusses the related research such as graph theory, complex network, social network, informatics about network structure metrics, and holds that graph theory is the fundamental theory of network structure metrics. Secondly, a network structure metrics framework which contains individual level indexes, local level indexes, and global level indexes, is constructed from the aspect of ＂ vertex→edge→subgraph→graph＂, and the network structure metrics index system of Web knowledge dissemination is proposed according to the characteristics of Web knowledge dissemination. Finally, the corresponding positive analysis is carried out based on the data from the website of ＇ emuch＇ by using the software of UCINET, which reveals some rules, phenomena and problems of the real Web knowledge dissemination network .
