This paper constructs the evaluation index system of urbanization quality and scale, and adopts factor analysis method to empirically analyze the spatial pattern of the relationship between urbanization quality and scale in China＇s top ten urban agglomerations. The study results show that the urbanization quality and scale of all China＇s top ten urban agglomerations assume slight or moderate deviations, and there exists obvious spatial differentiation in the coordination degree between urbanization quality and scale; the urbanization process of the central cities is faster and the urbanization quality is relatively more advanced; small and medium-sized cities have better coordination of urbanization quality and scale, but the urbanization level is generally low.
