Known as the ＂Minister＂ in traditional Chinese medicine,Radix Glycyrrhizae is widely used due to its broad role and little side effects in the clinic. In addition to its effect commonly used in the field of traditional Chinese medicine,modern pharmacological studies also confirmed that Radix Glycyrrhizae has significant neuroprotective effect to neurodegenerative diseases. This article described some neurodegenerative diseases,and analyzed the application of Radix Glycyrrhizae in neurodegenerative disease and the therapeutic mechanism.
