In this paper, a video structure mining framework, which includes conception framework and mining system framework is proposed. In the conception framework, standardized definitions of the relational concepts is given ; in the mining system framework, the main contents have video basic structure mining, video syntactic structure mining, and video semantic structure mining. Finally, three applications of video structure patterns and knowledge are discussed, which includes guide video management, indexing and retrieval; achieve personalized recommender systems of video commodity based on content; and improve video summarization systems.
