Oligomycins are a series of 26-membered macrocyclic lactones. They display strong antifungal, antitumor, respiratory inhibitory and insecticidal activities, and are widely used in scientific research. In this paper, we review the research advances in the biological activities, producing strains and biosynthesis of oligomyicns.
