We introduced and summarized the characteristics of lacquerware cultural relics and their important role in Chinese historical studies. It is very important to protect the lacquerware cultural relics through further introducing the research present situation of the conservation. Lacquerware cultural relics is generally consist of the varnish film and the flan integrity. Although the previous studies try to protect them, no ideal method has been fund until now because of the particularity and complexity in the composition and structure. According to compound materials＇ principle, it may be the basic way to use the new material technology and the method to make the varnish film and the flan integrity match each other.
