Reeonnection gun is a type of electromagnetic launcher whose propulsive force is generated by the magnetic field line reeonneefion. The key point of multi-stage reeonneetion gun is the discharge of preserved energy in sequence at different stages. The principle of reeonnection gun is introduced. A control project of multi-stage reeonneetion gun as wellas the velocity measurement system are presented on the basis of a fabricated three-stage reconnection gun. The velocity data and its curve during the launch process are attained. A pill of 160 grams can be accelerated to 24.991m/s when the energy storage capacitor banks are charged to 3500V.
