真空触发开关(triggered vacuum switch,TVS)是大功率脉冲技术领域的重要开关器件之一,它具有结构紧凑、介质恢复迅速、操作无噪声、工作可靠性高、无污染、环境适应性强等优点,在中压领域具有广泛的应用前景。针对场击穿型TVS触发比较困难的特点,在触头表面涂敷TiH2材料,利用TiH2的脱氢产生大量的初始等离子体,可以有效地降低触发电压,提高触发可靠性。为此,设计了1套触发系统和LC振荡主回路来研究其开通性能。触发系统输出峰值22kV/350A的正脉冲源,系统时延40μs左右。实验结果表明,正极性接线的TVS样品经触发后能有效开通,触发成功率高,系统时延分散性小,导通电压范围宽,能够在小电流过零时产生有效的截流,且一定条件下呈现反向截流特性。
Triggered vacuum switch(TVS)is one of important switch apparatuses in the fields of pulsed power system.Because of the difficulty of trigger in filed-breakdown TVS,the electrodes of TVS are coated with TiH2,which can generate plenty of initial plasmas by dehydrogenation.The trigger voltage will be reduced and trigger reliability is improved.Consequently,a trigger system and LC main loop are set up to test the switching-on characteristics of TVS sample.The trigger system outputs a positive pulse with a peak value of 22kV/350Aand a system delay of 40μs.Experimental results show that,TVS is switched-on effectively by trigger pulse,the jitter time of trigger system is short,and the working voltage range of TVS is wide.Otherwise,the current is chopped when it is crossing zero and TVS can work as a diode in a certain condition.
