The principles and processes of rotary hearth furnace process are introduced,the present foreign rotary hearth furnace crafts are summarized and compared.Then the characteristics,applications and existing problems of these crafts are pointed out.In addition,the commissioning time,production capacity and metallization rate of the domestic existing rotary hearth furnace are summarized detailedly.Moreover,the development of the ironmaking technologies by granular iron method and the material characteristics are introduced,processing effects of domestic existing rotary hearth furnaces are analyzed,and the development direction of the process is discussed.
