双边或区域自由贸易协定的签署对WTO多边贸易进程会产生怎样的影响？上世纪80年代以来，国外学者对此问题的研究非常丰富。有的观点认为，双边或区域自由贸易协定的发展会阻碍WTO的进程，然而也有很多学者持相反的态度。本文针对这两种相反观点的文献做了分类和描述。并从机制设计的角度，探讨了在什么样的政策激励和规则路径设计之下，双边或区域自由贸易协定是能够促进全球自由贸易发展的。
英文摘要：
Whether or not bilateralism or regionalism would hinder the process of muhilateralism of WTO？ This topic is a debated issue in the field of international trade. The present paper surveys the literature on this topic since the 1980s. In particular, the arguments are divided into two opposite opinions： positive ones and negative ones. The literature in each category are organized and summarized. At last, the mechanism design on how to achieve global free trade is also examined.
