The paper makes a comparative study of MedaLink and CALIS from perspective of document delivery service. It finds that MedaLink is more convenient and efficient than CALIS in terms of service mode, one-station data retrieval, service charge, and easy access for readers. While for a university library, CALIS possesses better resource allocation and stable source of funding. Therefore, the library administrators should make full use of the advantages of the two different systems to meet the readers＇ needs and provide better document delivery service. On the other hand, the CALIS should take more consid eration of readers in its future development.
