This paper summarizes the analysis methods of the thermal residual stresses in the metal matrix composite （MMC） at the present, and analyzes the effect on the structure and mechanical properties of the thermal residual stresses in MMC. The problems lying in the experimental analysis and the theory calculation of the thermal residual stresses in MMC are put forward to study for the material researchers.
