Air Gap Membrane distillation is a new membrane separate technique.It can be used to desalt sea water and brackish water.And it can be driven by solar power, thus it has more competitiveness in desalination.The method of rotational and tangential inlet flow is adopted in air gap membrane distillation experiment device to enhance the heat and mass transfer.The effect of inlet solution temperature and mass flow and width of the air gap on the permeate flux is analyzed.The empirical equation of the convection heat transfer in the hot cavity of the air gap membrane distil-lation is proposed according to the experiment datum.
