This paper discusses the positive steady states of a diffusive prey-predator with Beddington-DeAngelis functional response under the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. The authors obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of positive steady states. The stability and uniqueness of positive steady states are also discussed when interference of the predator species is strong.
