An attempt is made to calculate a heat transfer coefficient (HTC) by combining the filmwise theory with the dropwise notion for ethanol-water mixture condensation. A new model, including ethanol concentration, vapor pressure and velocity, is developed by introducing a char- acteristic coefficient to combine the two theories mentioned above. At different concentration, pressure and velocity, the calculation is compared with experimental results. It turns out that the cMculated value is in good agreement with the experimental results, the maximal error is within ±30%.
