A solar dryer with a greenhouse -like collector was developed to use the solar energy fully and speed up the development of Xinjiang fruits drying process. Using solar energy as heat source, auxiliary by conventional air blower, this equipment may complete fruit drying process rather than natural drying, the drying period was shortened and the obtained final product was greatly improved in the quality. This paper introduced the working principles and the design of experimental installation, and showed the results of drying tests.
