以聚乙烯醇为胶体保护剂,正硅酸乙酯为前躯体,通过无皂乳液聚合法合成了SiO2/聚丙烯酸酯杂化材料纸张表面增强剂。通过红外光谱(IR)、差示扫描量热(DSC)、热重分析(TGA)和透射电镜(TEM)对杂化材料进行表征,结果表明纳米SiO2和丙烯酸酯之间产生了化学键的结合,无机相的引入使杂化材料的热分解温度升高。初步应用实验结果表明,当增强剂用量为1%时,纸张的环压指数提高36%,抗张强度提高30%,撕裂度提高31%,拉毛强度提高30%。
SiO2/polyacrylate hybrid materials paper strength agent was prepared by in-situ emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization with tetraethoxysilane(TEOS) as a silica component precursor and polyvinyl aleohol(PVA) as polymeric colloid stabilizer. The hybrid material was characterized by fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), thermal gravimetric analyzer (TGA) and transmission electron micro- Scope (TEM). The results indicated that there were chemical bonds between SiO2 and polyaerylate, and that the thermal stability and the glass transition temperature (Tg) in polyacrylate/SiO2 was 8℃ higher compared to pure polyacrylate. Moreover, the applied properties of the paper were measured as follows when the dosage of the strength agent was 1% : ring crush index of paper increased by 360/~, paper tensile strength increased by 30%, and tearing strength and picking velocity increased by 31% and 30% respectively.
