Pure boehmite （AIOOH, aluminum oxide hydroxide） was prepared in a hydro-thermal condition of 150℃ by using aluminum powder, AICI3·6H2O and water as reactants, adjusting the recipe, reacting and aging temperature and time, and evaporating and crystallizing.The result product was characterized by chemical analysis, XRD, FT-IR and SEM.
