Poly[methyl（trifluoropropyl）siloxane]（PMTFPS）may be obtained by the anionic ring-opening polymerization（ROP）of 1,3,5-tris（trifluoropropylmethyl）cyclotrisiloxane（D3F）.The current investigation progress on the synthesis process of poly[methyl（trifluoropropyl）siloxane]is summarized and the polymerization process is briefly described.Simultaneously some viewpoints to the existing problems and the coming research are prospected.Especially,mechanism and process conditions of polymerization are summarized.
