Plant polyphenols widely exist in a variety of plants and have been used in a wide range of various purposes.Meanwhile,their extraction technologies are ripe.Plant polyphenols have many kinds of biological activities,including anticancer,antiaging,antiradiation and antioxidant properties.Recently,with the increasing attention of animal health,safety of animal productions and ＂green＂ products,meanwhile emphasizing the ＇ safe and effective＇ characteristics of feed additives in animal production,the application in animal production of plant polyphenols as a natural antioxidant has become a hot topic.This particle reviewed the antioxidant function and application in animal production of some common plant polyphenols as antioxidant,such as grape polyphenols,apple polyphenols,and tea polyphenols.
