The specific demands of coordinating the growth of the regions are raised by the l lth Five-Year Guidelines for national economic and social development.As the economic pioneer of the whole East district, Changjiang River Delta must foster new growth poles. The rapid growth of growth poles are made by the reasonable arrangement of natural resources. At the same time ,growth poles can drive the common development of surrounding regions. In order to foster the growth of growth poles,first,we should make the superior industries more strong, especially pay attention to the advanced manufacturing industry. Second,high and new technology industry should be exploited deeply. Third ,we should foster the development of modem service trades.
