Rehabilitation of the spinal cord and deep brain stimulation of persistent vegetative state（ PVS） patients included the spinal cord stimulation（ SCS） and deep brain stimulation（ DBS）. Spinal cord stimulation was implanted electrodes in the high cervical spinal segment and pulse electrical stimulation continuously. Deep brain stimulation was implanted electrode by stereotactic surgery in deep brain nerve nuclei.It excited the brain cortex by brainstem reticular uplink system with the synergy of fluid of neurohumoral regulation. It increased blood flow of the cerebral cortex and tissue oxygen metabolism but promote rehabilitation of persistent vegetative state.
