Taking family business as the study sample, we analyze how the speed of institutional change guides allocation of entrepreneurship in family business. And then we further focus on the moderation effect of family firms' size in this relationship / based on a dynamic institution-based view of the firm. The empirical results show that: In the areas where the speed of institutional change is relatively slower, speed of institutional change will channel entrepreneurial talent of family business owner more into productive activities while less into unproductive activities. Furthermore, firm size reserves the negative relationship between speed of institutional change and unproductive activities. Meanwhile, in the areas where the speed of institutional change is relatively faster, speed of institutional change will channel entrepreneurial talent of family business owner more into unproductive activities while less into productive activities. Furthermore, firm size reserves the positive relationship between speed of institutional change and unproductive activities. This means that there is a curvilinear relationship between the speed of institutional change and the allocation of entrepreneurship in family business due to the difference in the level of marketization. And firm size has a key role of nonlinear moderation effect in that relationship. In summary, this paper analyzes how the speed of the institutional change affects the allocation of entrepreneurship in family business based on the dynamic institution-based view, which expands the theoretical basis of existing institutional and strategic management that focus on the static institutional environment excessively. At the same time, the paper expands the research perspective of existing studies that always discuss the topic about "gradual reform versus radical reform" as well. So, this paper has both theoretical and practical significance in understanding how family business make a strategic choices when deal with institutional change, which can also fulf
