Historiography of science is a discipline using history of science as an object of study. To solve some blurry problems existing between history of science and historiography of science, research content in historiography of science were discussed from theory, and the research category of historiography of science was determined by ontology, epistemology and methodology as well, aiming to distinguish clearly the relationship of history of science and historiography of science, furthermore, increase the overall level of historiography of science research.
