The copper content in soil is one of the key factors influencing the quality of tea. It is necessary to reveal its spatial distribution pattern and influencing factors in order to provide the theoretical guidance and proposal of regulation to improve the yield and quality of tea. By using spatial analysis function of Arc GIS, this article compared and analyzed the spatial differential features of copper in surface soil of different regions, taking typical tea gardens in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces as examples. Results showed that the average level of copper in tea garden soils of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces met standards of environmental condition for pollution-free tea production area and organic tea production area, and both of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces were spatial autocorrelation strongly. The distribution of the copper content in soil of Jiangsu province, which was dense in the west and sparse in the east, was agglomerated with faint spatial variability, mainly because of the regional factors, along with heavy copper contents in fewer areas. The distribution of the copper content in soil of Zhejiang presented concentric rings in the high density with obvious spatial variability and low overall level. Except for the close correlation with the terrain slope, it was because of the effects of human activities and the microclimate.
