Microdialysis technique can collect samples from extracellular fluid of the action site directly and effectively, and has become an important tool for pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic studies. This technique presents great value and good perspective on the study of pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics. In the present paper, the principle and advantages of microdialysis sampling technique were reviewed, and its applications in pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic studies were chiefly introduced.
