利用最优插值法建立了基于WaveWatch Ⅲ的东中国海区域海浪同化系统,它可以同化卫星高度计观测的有效波高.该系统对T/P高度计测得的有效波高的同化试验表明,海浪数据的同化能够改善整个区域的海浪预报效果.其中浮标验证结果表明,同化时效约1d,同化后波高预报的均方根误差减小了约10%,对涌浪区的改善尤其显著,均方根误差可以减至0.3以下.此系统运算量不大,对计算机硬件要求不高,在Linux,Windows操作系统上都可运行,易于推广应用.
A regional ocean wave data assimilation system of the eastern China seas based on WAVEWATCH Ⅲ was built by using the optimum interpolation(OI) scheme, and an assimilation experiment with the altimeter significant wave heights (SWH) was performed. The experiment result shows that the assimilation can improve the forecast of SWH in the whole field. The validation against buoy observations shows that the lasting time of the assimilation is about 1 d, and the rms error is reduced by approximately 10%. The assimilation is found to have a great impact on the area where the sea-state is dominated by swell and the rms error is reduced to less than 0.3. This assimilation system is not computationally intensive, does not demand high hardware requirements, and can be run on both Linux and Windows platforms. It is expected to be transplanted to operational centers.
