菲德模型既能考察教育投资的总效应，又能考察外溢效应，已成为该领域研究的主流方法。本文运用美国1970-2008年统计年鉴宏观面板数据．应用菲德模型考察了美国经济增长中教育投资的贡献率。研究表明美国教育投资对经济增长总体贡献很大，对非教育部门的外溢效应同样显著。最后就中美教育投资效益的差距及如何提升中国教育投资效益进行了探讨。

英文摘要：

American education has been the forefront of the world, a lot of experiences and practices are worth learning. Feder-model is the mainstream method to study educational investment effects, which can distinguish the total effects and the spillover effects of educational investment. However, there are no scholars using Feder-model to study the relationship between American educational investment and economic growth. Using Feder-model, we analyze the total effects and spillover effects of American educational in vestment to economic growth. The results show that education investment in the United States has enormous contribution to economic growth in general, and a greater spillover effect to non-education sector. In the end of this paper, some revelation is advanced.
