本文回顾了中国城市史研究的历程及近30年的主要成果,并对城市史研究的学科背景、研究方法与特点进行了简要归纳。在此基础上得出结论：城市史研究表现为一种综合性的研究策略.其研究领域将更加开放.同时在研究方法与课题上更加专门化。建筑史领域的研究工作应该与城市史研究的视野更加紧密地结合起来。

This article made a summary of mainstream study on Chinese urban history in recent 30 years. especially commented on the characteristics of different research fields. And it drew a conclusion that the study on urban history looks more like a tactic than a subject. The research fields of urban history should be more open, but the researches should go deep into the field of specialization in urban history.
