从铁高效基因型小金海棠(Malus xiaojinensis)中克隆了Fe^3+-还原酶基因MxFRO。半定量RT-PCR结果表明MxFRO在小金海棠的根和叶中均受缺铁胁迫诱导。将MxFRO转入野生型酵母(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)中,结果表明转基因酵母的Fe^+-还原酶活性是对照的2.8倍,实验初步证明MxFRO基因编码的蛋白具有Fe^3+-还原酶活性。
Full-length cDNA sequence of MxFRO was cloned from Malus xiaojinensis, an iron-efficient genotype in the genus Malus. The results analysed by semiquantitative RT-PCR showed that MxFRO was induced by iron-deficiency stress in roots and leaves. The MxFRO gene was transformed into yeast(Saccharomyces cerevisiae), and the ferric reductase activity in transgenic yeast was 2.8-fold higher than that in controls, indicating that MxFRO protein has ferric reductase activity.
