In view of independent innovation capability of petroleum equipment manufacturing industry, analyses were made of related theories in petroleum equipment manufacturing industry, independent innovation capability and knowledge integration. Knowledge integration is divided into digestion knowledge integration, adaptation knowledge integration, solution knowledge integration, evolution knowledge integration and re-creation knowledge integration. Analyses were made respectively of the five types＇ action mechanism for improving independent innovation capability of petroleum equipment manufacturing industry. Results are of instructive significance for the improvement of independent innovation capability of petroleum equipment manufacturing industry.
