Starting from the characteristics of technology related to family patents, we create a method of patents polymerization using the theory of social network analysis. First, a kind of method called “latent semantic analysis” is used to extract the family patents＇ relationship, then the network map is used to visualize the relationship. The conclusion is that the method can quantify patents＇ core technology features and cluster the patents, and promoting the efficiency of enterprise patent strategy making
