Human civilization has entered a brand new era called ＂post-modern age＂,which is completely different from the competitive,conflict-filled ＂Modern Age＂.For this new era,ecological harmony and social vitality are top agendas,which call for the full service of science and technology.At the same time,we need to treat and utilize the power of religion adequately,drawing wisdom from religion to deal with the imbalance resulting from the overemphasis on science and technology.Religion and the concept of ＂God＂ given by Alfred North Whitehead offer a possibility of universal love,promoting the harmony between mankind and all the other living organisms.This view will render this world more harmonious and vigorous,making it possible for the part to contribute to the whole and the whole to help the part live a better life,which yields a vision of constructive post-modernism.
