The M701F unit is a uniaxial combined cycle gas turbine unit. As for the cooling after unit maintenance outages, the combustion engine mainly adopts high speed barring gear cooling while the turbine keeps the main Steam control valve with a certain opening under the condition of low loads and realizes cooling with relatively low tempera- ture stream. Although Mitsubishi Heavy Industry used this cooling strategy, the results of maintenance outages were that the temperature of the combustion engine declined while the temperature of the turbine was still very high, which leaded to the mismatch of the temperature drop of the combustion engine and the turbine. A new cooling mehtod with heated compressed air is proposed for turbine cooling, by which the time from the outage of the whole unit to parking the barring gear will be shorten.
