Medical equipment maintenance performance affects the efficiency of hospitals. Research showed that improving the medical equipment maintenance performance could improve the performance of hospitals and the level of clinic service. Empirical study illustrated that outsourcing strategy should improve the quality of service and reduce the cost at the same time. Therefore, medical equipment maintenance outsourcing can improve the level of clinic service by means of keeping medical equipment working in order and reduce the expenditure of equipment management with the help of maintenance service suppliers. The principles of medical equipment maintenance outsourcing were analyzed. Finally, the key factors of successful maintenance outsourcing strategy was put forward, including decision-making, supplier selection, contract design, supervising and performance assessment.
