根据老年人意外伤害的已有数据．阐述了交通事故为老年人意外伤害的主要形式，提出研究老年人交通事故的重要意义。通过分析老年人的心理，生理特点及萁出行活动规律，总结老年人交通事故特征规律及其原因，针对老年人交通事故规律，提出预防老年人交通事故的对策措施。研究成果对降低交通事故有非常重要的意义。
英文摘要：
The problem of the Chinese elderly traffic accident is studied with the accidental harm data. The viewpoint that traffic accident is the most accidental harm form for the elderly is put forward. The characters and reason for traffic accident is summarized by analysis the characteristics of mentality, physiology and trip disciplinarian for the elderly. Based on the laws of traffic accident for the elderly, the safety countermeasure to prevent the elderly traffic accident is gained. It has very great guidance to reduce the elderly traffic accident.
