A novel glycosyl and ferrocenyl thiourea catalyst has been successfully synthesized from the natural D-glycose and readily available ferrocenecarboxylic acid by simple steps reaction.The structure of the new thiourea catalyst was confirmed by IR,1 H NMR,13 C NMR, and HRMS.
