This paper surveys the development process of amphibious biomimetic robots, and mainly describes the current R&D status of amphibious robots at home and abroad in terms of legged and snake-like amphibious robots. Meanwhile, the difficulties to be solved under development are analyzed and the future of amphibious robots is forecasted.
