Mealybug wilt of pineapple （MWP） is one of the most serious diseases in pineapple （Ananas comosns L. Merr. ） and is present in all the major pineapple growing areas of the world. Dysmicoccus brevipes （Cockerell） （pink pineapple mealybug）is one of the most important vectors, this pest has a pan tropical distribution, with a few records from subtropical localities. It＇s summarized the relations between ants and D. brevipes, D. brevipes and Mealybug wilt of pineapple, some view of the management of D. brevipes and Mealybug wilt of pineapple were stated in this paper.
